PCAF employees (left) and its private sector-partners (right) join the workshop in celebration of the Women’s Month.

In celebration of the National Women’s Month, the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF) conducted a two-session virtual workshop on Women Empowerment with the theme “ Juan/a Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!” on March 12, 2021.

The online interactive workshop, participated by more than 90 PCAF employees and its private sector-partners, aimed to help the participants promote women empowerment and be the agents of positive and effective change.

The event was spearheaded by the PCAF Gender and Development (GAD) Committee and facilitated by motivational speaker, Trixie Esquerra. 

Topics that were tackled include what takes away participants’ strengths, self-limiting beliefs, what makes the participants feel alive, self-empowering beliefs, participants’ strengths, and how each participant copes up in this time of pandemic.

Aside from the workshop, PCAF also maintains a GAD Corner that exhibits gender equality in the workplace.
