Demonstrating its continued commitment to strengthening the agricultural and fisheries mechanization industry, the National Agricultural and Fisheries Machinery Assemblers, Manufacturers, Importers, Distributors and Dealers Accreditation and Classification (NAMDAC) Board convened its latest meeting on June 20, 2025 in Quezon City.
During the recent deliberation, the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF), through the Agricultural and Fisheries Mechanization and Infrastructure Support Section (AFMISS), presented the compiled documents from the five suppliers for the Board’s review.
After the evaluation and discussion, the NAMDAC Board approved four out of five applications. One application was deferred pending further clarification and compliance review.
The approved applications include:
- Bio-Chem Technology Phil. Corp (for renewal)
- Erin-Marty Fabricators Company Inc. (new application)
- Zoomlion Heavy Industrial Philippines, Inc. (new application)
- Green Valley Machineries (for renewal of NAMDAC CoA)
The PCAF-AFMISS, which serves as the NAMDAC Secretariat, is tasked to inform concerned suppliers of their application results.
PCAF’s function, outlined in the Department of Agriculture-Department Circular No. 17, Series of 2018, ensures the smooth processing of applications and the effective functioning of NAMDAC’s deliberative processes.
The approvals and the deferred application underscore NAMDAC’s meticulous process in evaluating suppliers to ensure that the Philippine agricultural sector benefits from reliable and high-quality machinery and equipment.
The Board’s decisions contribute directly to preventing the proliferation of “fly-by-night” suppliers and upholding the standards necessary for a progressive and resilient agricultural landscape. | Jezebel Campaniel
