Monitoring staff of the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF) and the volunteer-partners of the Agricultural and Fishery Council (AFC) convened for an exit conference on September 3, 2018 at Apacible Conference Hall B in Quezon City.
The conference, aimed to discuss the findings and recommendations on the projects monitored and evaluated, was a concluding activity done after the conduct of participatory monitoring and tracking (PMT).
PCAF Executive Director Sarah Gutierrez-Cayona expressed her gratitude to the members of PMT for their commitment and support. She also urged everyone to be more specific and transparent on the monitoring reports.
Six teams presented the results of their monitoring on the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) funded projects based on the list provided by the DA-Monitoring and Evaluation Division.
Most of the reports highlighted the existence of projects/interventions, their present conditions as well as the benefits of the projects to the community, based on the face-to-face interview of the monitoring teams with the beneficiaries.
During the exit conference, questions and clarifications on the monitored and evaluated projects were noted to be included in the preparation of their respective monitoring reports.
The monitoring reports will then be submitted to the concerned DA-Regional Field Office and government agencies, both in the national and local level for their comments and appropriate actions. Members of the PMT and the AFC will also be provided with a copy of the report. – JD
