A group of Agricultural and Fishery Council (AFC) from Davao Occidental and Davao del Sur discusses clear-cut problem identification and proper prioritization of issues that affect the agricultural and fishery sector in Davao Region during the Competency Advancement on Policymaking and Engagement for AFC (AFC-CAPE) in Davao City.
Forty-one AFC members from Davao City, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte and Compostela Valley participated the AFC-CAPE on September 10 to 14, 2018.
The training was led by the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries, in partnership with the University of the Philippines’ Center for Leadership, Citizenship, and Democracy to enhance the capacities of the Council’s officers and coordinators particularly on policy-related issues, procedural concerns and advocacy to spread stakeholder engagement in consultative and feedback mechanism for sound policy.
