The Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (PCAF) conducted an onboarding activity for the newly hired employees on August 3, 2023 to inform them about the agency, general policies, and compensation, welfare and benefits.
Led by the Administrative, Financial and Management Division-Human Resource Development Section (AFMD-HRDS) Section Chief Braulio Castro, Jr. the activity explained to the new employees the mission, vision, history and mandates of PCAF.
The HRDS staff also presented the major final output (MFO) of the agency, which is the agri-fishery policy services. It was explained in the activity that MFOs are goods and services mandated to primarily deliver to the bureaucracy and the general public external client through the implementation of programs, activities, and projects (PAPs).
The newly hired employees who joined the activity were Venina Gelyn Chua, Ian Kevin Sevilla and Alcel Atanacio of the Policy Development and Coordination Division and Sergio Manuel Arguilla of the Planning Monitoring and Knowledge Management Division.
They were introduced to the key officials of the agency and the functions of the operating units. The HRDS also discussed the general policies, code of conduct and ethical standards for public officials and employees, office regulations, and possible career development.
The AFMD Management Section technical staff, Nicky Joseph Yagumyum, also provided the new employees with an overview of the International Organization for Standardization and PCAF’s Quality Management System. | Jezebel Campaniel
