#PCAFSupports | More than 70 women-leaders from the agriculture and fishery sector gathered in Baguio City on October 10, 2024 to address the constraints and limitations of women in their role in the food systems in providing food security, nutrition, and improve women’s decision-making impact in the industry.The two-day event also aims to inspire the participants from the Agricultural and Fishery Council, National Sectoral Committee women representatives, accredited Civil Society Organizations by the Department of Agriculture, Non-Government Organizations, women farmer-leaders, fisherfolk, and entrepreneurs to actively contribute in ensuring the food systems efforts are practical and will encourage innovative approaches on delivering systems-level transformation.The 2024 Women’s Dialogue, with the theme “Empowering Women in Food Systems: Nurturing Sustainability and Equality”, is part of the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries Gender and Development- Focal Point System’s attempt to empower Filipino women to lead in the food systems to create resilient, equitable and sustainable future for the country.
